Presentation Solutions: Thank you for joining us. Could you tell us a little about Bath Planet for our readers who may not be familiar with the company?
Bath Planet: Certainly! We are a bathroom remodeling company specializing in acrylic bath and shower systems.
Presentation Solutions: What are the benefits of choosing a replacement tub as opposed to painting over an existing unit?
Bath Planet: Re-glazing is barely a temporary fix. These do-it-yourself paints don’t usually last and can wind up making the bathroom look worse in the long run, meaning the homeowner eventually replaces the tub anyway.
Presentation Solutions: Tell us about step-through inserts…
Bath Planet: Inserts are an affordable way to turn your bathtub into an easily accessible walk-in shower.
Presentation Solutions: Speaking of showers, we understand it’s possible to convert an existing tub area into an expansive and functional shower, is that right?
Bath Planet: That’s absolutely correct. Our tub-to-shower conversions can transform a bathtub in as little as a day. They are a great option for those with mobility limitations.
Presentation Solutions: Bath Planet offers additional accessibility products as well, correct?
Bath Planet: That’s right. Our walk-in tubs are one example. Walk-in bathtubs have high sidewalls and feature a built in seat and relaxing jets.
Presentation Solutions: How are these different from step through inserts?
Bath Planet: Step-through inserts are not designed to hold water. Walk-in tubs, however, are sealed tight, allowing homeowners with limited mobility the freedom to continue taking baths independently.
Presentation Solutions: What about walls?
Bath Planet: We have a huge variety of bath and shower surrounds to match our bathroom solution products.
Presentation Solutions: And textures? Are homeowners limited to smooth walls or faux 4 x 4 tiles?
Bath Planet: While we do offer both of those as an option, currently, we have 10 different wall patterns and 19 unique colors available.
Presentation Solutions: That sounds like Bath Planet remodels are very customizable…
Bath Planet: They are; in fact, most of our bath and shower products are built for the specific bathroom we’re working in. We also have a catalog of accessories to enhance the finished look.
Presentation Solutions: You mean you don’t just pull a product off a warehouse shelf?
Bath Planet: No, BCI Acrylics manufactures most of what we sell and molds a custom acrylic bath or shower based on precise measurements and specifications that are taken by our design consultants.
Presentation Solutions: That sounds very different from the products available at most hardware stores.
Bath Planet: It is, yes. The main difference being that our products are made from a much thicker acrylic and are installed by professional and certified technicians.
Presentation Solutions: That certainly explains Bath Planet’s amazing warranty. Can you summarize that for our audience?
Bath Planet: We offer a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. And, we are backed by Good Housekeeping, which offers customers an additional two-year limited warranty.

Bath Planet is fast! We called on Monday, by Wednesday we had a guy out to give us an estimate. Once we figured out what we wanted (and by we, I mean my wife), it only took two weeks to have our new bathtub, standalone shower, and both walls built and delivered. I was shocked they were able to get everything in & out in a day and a half.

That reglazing thing works for about a day then starts rubbing off on the curves of the bathtub. I did my mother-in-law’s tub last Thursday and it is peeling already. I even let it cure an extra day! Now the bathroom looks worse than it did before because that god-awful pink tub is showing through the white…The side wall looks great, though. Anyway. I just got off the phone with Bath Planet. I wish I had called them first.
Sadly, that is not an uncommon story related to our representatives and technicians. We sincerely hope your mother-in-law enjoys her new Bath Planet bathtub. We promise it won’t peel, fade, or crack.
I had never heard of Bath Planet until my husband decided it was time to redo our bathtub. I tried to talk him out of it and said I could do it myself with a kit from Home Depot. He didn’t listen and a rep came out to the house with a ton of color samples. Long story short, I really could not have done what Bath Planet did to our bathroom. The Juparana Granite wall is so classy and looks so much better than the plain white I had picked out.
That is one of our most popular colors. Someone obviously has great taste!
We ordered a walk-in tub from Bath Planet last year and love it. When we bought it, my wife was 2 months pregnant with our twins and was facing another bed rest (like when we had our first set of twins six years ago!). Anyway, she was able to get in and out of this tub without straining. My only regret is we had it installed in our guest bathroom. I wish we had it in our master since we both love it!

So, I stayed with a friend last week and her Bath Planet bathtub was being installed. One of the techs was a guy I went to college with. He was always interested in construction and when I asked him why he was working as a bathtub installer he said that Bath Planet was the best remodeling company he had ever worked for and chose to stay with them instead of opening his own place.

We bought an “install it yourself and save” bathroom wall piece. It was a disaster! Husband called out of town for emergency, I tried to knock the tile out by myself. Broke the wall and somehow ripped the pipes out. Bath Planet came by to take a look and didn’t laugh when I started crying over it. New bath looks great. I won’t make the mistake of trying to do something that requires training again!

The Venetian granite on a 12 x 12 slate pattern is my absolute favorite. Bath Planet has done a very good job picking colors and textures that appeal to a diverse range of customer preferences. I really like the bathtub in my home now. If possible, I would rather not have it removed. I happen to be one of the few people that likes an iron tub. My walls are a different story. Is it possible to leave my bathtub intact and just install a new wall surround around the bathtub?
